of the Week
COACH WOOD INVITATIONAL
10/18/08
Michael
Sexton (12th)
Michael ran a smart race to finish 9th overall to step up and lead our
short-handed team. His time of 16:19 is a season's best, and is more than
:30 faster than his 2007 time from this meet.
Michael
Giuliano (10th)
Michael finished 2nd, out-kicking the 3rd place finisher in a
thrilling finish. His time of 17:29 is a PR, and is more than 1:30 faster
than last year's time at this invitational.
Chris
McGee (11th)
Chris ran a season's best of 18:38, more than a minute faster than
last year at this time, to finish 5th for our team entered in the JV-C
race, confirming a dominant effort by our Bronco harriers in that race.
MANHATTAN
INVITATIONAL
10/11/08
Carter
Hewitt (11th)
In the highly competitive Eastern States race, Carter's 74th place finish
closed the 1-5 gap to :13, and helping us to defeat perennial power
Fayetteville-Manlius. He led our pack out of the woods, a key point in the
race for our team.
Alex
Pena (12th)
Alex led his team to victory in the JV "B" race, finishing the
race in 13:56, good for 2nd place in that division. He took control from
the gun and fought the leaders to the end of a commanding victory for the
Broncos, who finished with just 27 points.
PARKVIEW/GRAYSON
TRIAD
10/7/08
Tucker
Forbes (11th)
On the tough Tribble Mill layout, Tucker surged away from the lead pack in
the final 800m to win convincingly in 18:34. His victory helped lead the
Broncos to a close win over Grayson and Parkview, our Region 8 rivals.
